Restoration Honey Bee Company produces queens that are bred to thrive in our unique Ontario environment. Productive colonies require strong, healthy queens.

We are enrolled in the Ontario Resistant Honey Bee Selection (ORHBS) program, meaning our breeder queens are carefully selected for hygienic behaviour and low-varroa growth.

Our breeding program selects for winter hardiness, quick-spring build-up, honey production, calmness (“comb stability”), and gentle temperament. Each year, we infuse our breeding program with proven Ontario stock from some of the other excellent breeders in the ORHBS program.
