Premium honey and beeswax candles come from healthy honey bee colonies.
Bee packages from Italy, with Buckfast Queens. Produced by the highly respected and experienced breeders from Melita Bees, each package comes in a ventilated box, and contains 1.1 kg of healthy young bees and a caged, mated Buckfast queen.
Expected shipment dates in early/mid-April. Actual pick-up date will be confirmed closer to the date. We will contact you with exact availability 5-7 days prior to the flight. You will have 24-36 hours for pick-up from our Eganville location. There will also be a pick-up point in Ottawa.
Details:
Bee packages are a great option for early expansion or recovering from winter losses. Ideal for experienced beekeepers, packages should be installed into your hive boxes that have at least one frame of drawn comb plus food.
Note that the Buckfast queens are caged separately with attendants, so typical cage introduction is required upon installation of the package.
Package health will be confirmed and guaranteed upon pick-up. The buyer assumes all responsibility once the package leaves our possession.
Bee packages are not recommended for new beekeepers. We recommended our 4-frame nucleus colonies with local queens here.
